Today all the hard work of the team behind Podcamp Topeka resulted in a very successful social media event headlined by Patrick O'Keefe. So congratulations to Patrick, David King, Brandon and Alissa Sheley and all of the passionate people who made it all happen!

We've been fans of Patrick and Brandon for quite some time now. Although we're still in stealth mode with our software (coming very soon), these two guys were key in our decision to become sponsors of Podcamp Topeka this year.

Brandon Sheley is well known in the vBulletin and vBSEO communities. He's definitely one of the hardest working guys I know in the forum and social networking worlds, and (as a result) a top performing affiliate marketing guy. In fact, he was frequently the top performer in a program I helped manage. Brandon presented today on that same topic, and I'm sure his insights are cash in the bank for those who put them into action!

Patrick O'Keefe, in addition to building the iFroggy network, literally wrote THE book on online forums and is a popular social media speaker and all around good guy.

We want to make a special note of thanks to Patrick today for his shout-out to us during his keynote. Patrick's presentation focused on how to tap into online communities and gain attention the "right way". He provided excellent insights and examples of his approach. What stood out most to us while watching the recorded stream was that Patrick is a man who lives by his word. All of the exchanges we've had with Patrick on Twitter or email are always very friendly, courteous, respectful, and sharing. With that approach, he's made the Viral Age Team big fans of his. If you follow his advice, you'll always end up becoming a valued and welcomed member of any online community you participate in.

The video of Patrick's keynote is provided above. For those of you excited to see the Viral Age mention (ummm... Mom), please jump to 50:15 of the video... but make sure you watch it all because it's filled with awesome advice for anyone who wants to engage others successfully in
the social media world!
