I'm a VB and XF admin, used a few others too. I like the WYSIWYG front-end. Got a back end too? Is this installed server-side or only hosted or what?

Got a suggestion for you that I keep stumping for that never seems to get traction. How about a way to get all your users bringing more people in all the time? How? Turn users "profile pages" into mini personal web pages! Give them the same WYSIWYG tools to build their own webpage. Be particularly cool if it could become a real subdomain like username.someforum.com. Seems like a way to give users "ownership" with an identity (your forum theme) and keep them coming back.

That's all, thanks for a neat script, I'll be keeping an eye on this.

Hey Grant. =)

We call our on page admin stuff "Change It Where You See It". I keep trying to think of a good way to shorten that, but I haven't come up with anything yet. I'm not sure I want to put CIWYSI into the world to join WYSIWYG. Kidding. =)

We don't have the traditional concept of an AdminCP like vBulletin and the others. We have "Page Settings" (which is the "Change It Where You See It" stuff you've seen) and then "Site Settings" which loads an admin panel at the top of the page. That's where we change settings that are not tied to stuff right on the page itself.

We really want to get away from the AdminCP model and keep all the settings as close to the actual forum as can be.

We'll offer options to download and install on your server or have it hosted by us.

We did think about making the profiles more customizable. Just the same way as the logo and background are changed by admins, we could allow customizations of the profile page by each user. It's not something we'll probably do short-term. However, we're going to be building our own CMS system (called Launch.pages) and it's possible we might see how much of that new stuff could be applied to profile pages as well. Other than just changing the background and the colors, everyone would have to be able to bring in new content and other stuff to really make the profile page a totally customized page for them.

Please keep the suggestions coming. We're always up for a great brainstorm! =)

So I give you the next "killer app" on a platter, and what do I get. No respect! =(
Sorry, I just don't know how to be serious!

Oh, we're definitely the next "killer app"! Wait... I'm not allowed to stay that out loud! =)

That's ok. We love not-so-serious-all-the-time people! If you have a gorilla suit, you get bonus points. By the way, I could hear Rodney's voice in your post! ;)
